Todd has been working and volunteering with adolescents and their families since 1994. He has experience as a therapist and supervisor in residential/alcohol-drug treatment and intensive in home settings serving adjudicated and
   non-adjudicated youth and their families.
   Todd works from a cognitive behavioral and family centered background and believes in meeting with the adolescent from where they are at in their emotional and cognitive development.

Todd is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with the State of North Carolina. Todd received his Masters Degree in Social Work from West Virginia University in his hometown of Morgantown, West Virginia.

Todd's clinical orientation is grounded in a psycho-therapeutic approach which employs a cognitive behavioral background that aims to solve problems concerning dysfunctional emotions, behaviors and cognitions through a goal-oriented, systematic procedure in the present. In addition to other therapists at TRAILS, Todd works from a strengths-based and solution-focused approach to empower adolescents and their families to make positive changes in their lives. Todd specializes in working with Social Skills Development, Self Esteem and Anger Management, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Mood Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, ADD and ADHD, Substance abuse-misuse and dependency issues

Todd was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia in which he attended school at West Virginia University earning a B.S. in Recreation and Parks Management and a Masters in Social Work. Todd is has spent time living in Colorado and California and major interests and hobbies include Rock Climbing, Surfing, Backpacking and spending time with his family and German Sheppard, "Cooper".
