Mark quickly found his passion for working with struggling teens and saw the true                      change that occurs in the wilderness. He was soon promoted to Senior Instructor
and then Graduation Coordinator. Mark was quickly committed to the field of
Wilderness and moved to Montana to work as a Wilderness Guide and Counselor.                    Mark was then selected to assist in the development of a Wilderness start-up in the               Northeast where he helped in the development of the program and was promoted to             Field Director and then to Admissions Director. In 2004, Mark returned to North Carolina to serve as a Wilderness Admissions Director. Soon after, Mark was promoted to be their Regional Director of Admissions where he oversaw admissions for 5 different outdoor programs and helped families find the most appropriate fit for their child.

Mark has completed his Addictions Certification at Penn State University and is a LCAS candidate. Mark is continuing his education by becoming certified as a Clinical Addiction Specialist. Mark enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, wakeboarding, softball, watching football and attempting to play golf.
